Formation as a teacher, later student of F. Ahlers-Hestermann and P. Kayser at the  Kunstschule (Academy of Arts) Gerda Koppel

First trip to Florence

Stay in Paris

Journeys to Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy; construction of an own studio

Trip to England; member of the Hamburgische Sezession

Teacher at the Kunstschule (Academy of Arts) Koppel

Grant of the city of Hamburg for a longer stay in Paris

Journeys to England and Italy, stay in Rome and first trip to Ischia; first encounter with Paul Klee in Bern
